The Melbourne Daily Photo 8: Jean Paul Gaultier at NGV

Fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier's punk inspired clothes is part of a fantastic exhibition at National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne. Having not been that fascinated by designer clothes I was amazed with their beauty in real life. The combination  of traditional hand sewing, knitting and lacework with a punk aesthetic was stunning.
Anybody remember the Bay City Rollers? Perhaps Jean Paul was inspired by them as anybody who was a fan would know that Woody wore the yellow MacLeod tartan above and they were huge in the 70's when he went to London. They didn't mention that in the catalogue. Perhaps he was embarrassed.
